Week 1 Update

Whew - one week in the books and I'm already wondering what the heck I was thinking.  I suppose that's good - it means that the list is a stretch, but this will take some effort to get through.  The one nice aspect is that while I've been up regularly for sunrises, I've actually appreciated them a bit more.  That's one goal that's moving quickly.  Small benefit to shorter days! Current goals completed - ZERO.  That said, I have a chance (though it's an outside one) at crossing one off this weekend with the Krispy Kreme challenge.  How fast can I eat donuts? Progress notes: Physical     #5 - Covered 46 miles last week.  Not bad, but we'll need to start bicycling to get this back on target     #6 - 320/15,000 push ups complete.  On target here and they're getting easier.  Yes!     #11 - The eleven stretching exercises attempted are great.  Looking forward to finding more of these Mental    ...

A year ago, I turned 39 and decided then that, despite promising not to repeat anything like the "30 goals while 30", I would try to do 40 goals while I'm 40.  However, learning from the 30 goals, I realize I'm not going to accomplish them all so I've left a buffer which would permit me to miss 10% and still knock off 40 for the year.  In keeping with the theme though, as often as possible, I've tried to set the goals around t...
